Foods That Will Add Insulin in Your Body and How to Avoid Insulin Resistance Diets

Insulin is vital in the body at any given time; it maintains a balanced sugar level. The level of insulin should be balanced at all times. To understand this properly one has to learn about insulin resistance diets and how they should be avoided. To start, artificially refined foods are known to be insulin resistance diets and should be avoided and replaced with whole meals. If a strict, whole meal diet is adhered to, then the insulin level should be able to stabilize and return to normal levels at the end of two to three months.

Starch filled foods which are refined are known as insulin resistance diets and should be avoided totally. This includes foods that have been added with sweeteners such as ice cream, alcohol, and juices. They increase the urge to take more sweetened foods until the insulin in the body is too high making it resistant. Also considered as insulin resistance diets are the groups that fall under no grain products such as, white rice, white flour, bread, corn, and white pasta. They should be removed from the diet and replaced with non-starch vegetables. In addition, to avoid insulin resistance diets, it is advisable to take large quantities of vegetables but make sure to omit corn and potatoes. These vegetables can either be cooked or taken raw.

Insulin resistance diet can also include nuts such as walnuts and macadamia and a variety of butter such as peanut butter. An insulin resistance diet could also contain some proteins but they should be consumed in the right way and quantity. For instance, if its red meat, it should be lean and it is far much better if one can get white meat such as fish and chicken. These foods are known to be rich in Omega 3, which is essential in balancing the level of insulin in the body.
